Dance Movement Psychotherapy for autistic children and their families.

As a Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist, I offer both therapeutic and consultancy support for autistic and neurodivergent children and their families. Movement is our first language developmentally. My approach uses it to build communication, confidence and connection.

A neurodiversity-affirming, family-centred approach.

My specialism in neurodiversity-affirming, family-centred DMP was developed through my doctoral research, where I worked directly with families of non-verbal autistic children, bringing movement-based connection into everyday life, first via tele-therapy during the pandemic, and in person after.

Since 2009, I have delivered Dance Movement Psychotherapy across schools, community organisations, and clinical settings in the UK, Malaysia and Australia. I have also trained practitioners, such as teachers and psychologists, to embed movement-based approaches into their own work. I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
